About This Project

This Connecticut country home was redesigned to create a comfortable retreat that balances traditional architecture with contemporary furnishings and a refined color palette. The clients, a couple with grown children, wanted a space that would feel welcoming for family gatherings while reflecting their sophisticated taste.

The design approach focused on updating the home's traditional bones with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. The color palette draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape, incorporating soft neutrals with carefully selected accent colors that change with the seasons.

The furniture plan was developed to accommodate both intimate family gatherings and larger entertaining events. Custom upholstery pieces were designed for comfort and longevity, while antique and vintage finds add character and a sense of history to the spaces.
